CLOAKS

We make two different types of Maori cloaks [Korowai]

The first has a plain black yoke and calico body. This has a drawstring at the neck and has Maori designs down each side of the front of the cloak. Around the yoke is a row of sewn feathers and also has feathers sewn at intervals over the calico body of the cloak.

Colour Butterfly

Butterfly wings also come in other colours and are screen-printed and hand finished with fabric paint. Attached at neck with Velcro, the wings are bound on edges and have wrist loops

Monarch Butterfly

Monarch Butterfly are a set of black poplin wings screen printed and finished with hand painted details in the traditional Monarch pattern. Attached at neck with Velcro and are edged with binding.
